Apply for a School Place

This link may be used for both in-year applications and main round applications for a Reception (Year R) start in September.

For in-year applications, you will be notified in writing within 10 school days of the outcome of your application, and given details of your right of appeal if a place cannot be offered.

Applications to start school in the Foundation Stage (Reception Year) are made online via Hampshire County Council’s Website (see link below).

For children due to start in September 2026 the application process will open on 01 November 2025 and close on 15 January 2026. Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application on 15 April 2026.

For children wishing to join the school into any year group during the academic year please contact the school for information on class sizes.

IN- YEAR ADMISSION

An in-year admission is when a child needs an immediate school place during the school year.

This guidance is for applying for a school place during the academic year 2025/26 and is when a child needs an immediate school place during the school year.

There are two main reasons for this. You might be moving house or unhappy with your child’s current school.

You can apply for an in-year place up to four weeks before the place is needed.
